Who represents us ?

At most places, we are on our own. This is more true when it comes to political structures. Do the elected representatives represent any one of us? Answer is no. Because we did not choose them to be our representatives. A political party at its headquarters nominated someone to represent us. None of us, come in the picture. If there are 20 political parties in the area, each of them catapult one  name in the air. Then comes the election time. Someone gets the most votes ,not necessarily the majority- suddenly becomes our representative overnight. Yes, we know a little bit about her or him. He or she lives somewhere in our constituency and sometimes, maybe not. Who is to blame? Are we responsible for this mess? Yes, it is a mess. Maybe, it is not only a mess. It is a curse that someone gets imposed on us from tiny or  huge premises of a party that calls itself political with or without any commitment to political thought or principles. We are not blaming a political outfit here. We are blaming the systems of electing our representatives. They may belong to a political party, but they have to be nominated by people after a visible discourse , and not by a few political bosses at the headquarters.
